Job Purpose
The Budgeting and Reporting Supervisor will oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes within the ISP. The role ensures accurate financial planning, timely reporting, and effective analysis to support management in decision-making. The position also plays a key role in monitoring performance against budget, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insights on revenue, cost, and profitability drivers specific to the telecom/ISP sector.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts in coordination with all departments.
- Develop financial models to assess revenue streams (subscriptions, prepaid/postpaid services, data packages, wholesale, etc.) and cost drivers (network infrastructure, bandwidth, operations, customer service).
- Monitor budget adherence, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide rolling forecasts based on subscriber growth, ARPU, churn rate, and new service launches.
Financial Reporting
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Consolidate financial results and provide variance analysis (budget vs. actual, YoY, MoM).
- Support management with customized reports on revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency.
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Track key financial KPIs (Revenue, ARPU, Churn, EBITDA, OPEX ratios, CAPEX utilization).
- Prepare management dashboards highlighting financial trends and performance.
- Identify risks and opportunities affecting financial performance.
- Provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Coordination & Control
- Collaborate with commercial, technical, and operations teams to align budgets with business objectives.
- Ensure timely submission of financial data to regulators, group HQ, or stakeholders as required.
- Implement internal controls over budgeting and reporting processes.
- Supervise and develop a small team of financial analysts/accountants.
